I love the circle arrow around the "farmer" (for want of a better word for him. LOL ) I like that you left the photos large as well. 

JoJo, this is so well done.  Your journaling describes what sounds like a really fun tradition, and the happy face on the excellent extraction at the top REALLY makes that tradition sound like fun! love the music in the background and love the strip with the By Craig Morgan.  All comes together to fulfill the requirements on the survivor layout - and makes a memorable page.
