For my sis: I love you because you are perfectly my twin, just separated by 7 years. We are alike in so very many ways. We are on the same wavelength, with similar tastes, values, interests. I hate that we live so far apart, I wish I could see you so much more. I'll love you forever.
For my husband, I love you because you saved me, in a variety of ways. We've made each other better people. You pushed me when I needed pushing, and you totally support me when I crave that support and understanding. You’ve let me become who I am, and you celebrate and admire those changes, and all that crazy. You are adorable and sweet, handsome and charming. Love you baby.
For my mom, who I miss ferociously, I love you for so many reasons. You were a survivor. I remember the early days, the fun times, the difficulties. Five kids, 3 in diapers, living in a camper truck. Then you managed alone with us, and you made a new life for all of us when you married a man with 7 kids, miraculously finding him to be the love of your life. You taught me to cook, to drive, to sew; you showed us all how to be independent and strong. You knew how to laugh, and while you worked hard and made us work hard too, you always played hard, and allowed us the same. You weren't afraid to follow your interests, but you had your insecurities. You bravely got on a plane, flying alone to Alabama for the birth of a granddaughter. You sat during very loud concerts tolerating it while Lisa and I danced and sang and cut up. I will always love you, I celebrate the time we had, and will keep all of my memories close to my heart.
For you, Tori, my older daughter, I love you because you are smart yet vulnerable, you are loving and giving despite your gruff attitude about nurturing. You give to others more than you give to yourself, even sometimes to your own detriment. You wear your heart on your sleeve for those that know you well. I’m so grateful you live close, and love seeing you often.
For the one and only Feather, who despite being younger finds ways to be first! I love you because you are strong and independent, you certainly know your own mind. You are the most amazing mother, and you don't let anything get in your way. I love seeing you make happen what you want, and how you drive forward
