This is for a challenge at another site. We were given a vintage photo and had to make up a story about it then scrap a page.

JOURNALING:

My Grandmother Phoebe always claimed she could have been a famous ballerina but for an ill-fated love affair. The story goes she went to New York to study at the School of American Ballet shortly after it opened in 1934. There she met and fell in love with the founder and choreographer of the school, George Balanchine. Unfortunately for Phoebe, Balanchine only had eyes for promising dancers and Phoebe, being only 5’1” simply was too short and was overlooked by the maestro. Heartbroken, Phoebe returned home to Ohio, put away her ballet slippers, and never danced again. Recently, I found this old photo and toe shoes carefully wrapped in tissue paper in an old trunk in the attic. Do you suppose these “Fantastic Phoebe Fables” could be true?
