JOURNALING: The first production of the 2018-2019 season at The Hippodrome was “The Wolves”, a collaboration between the Hipp and the UF School of Theatre & Dance. The play, a finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize in Drama, uses soccer to frame the story around the lives of teenage girls and to give them a voice – even if what they say is not always profound. We attended the matinee performance on 9/14/18. I thought there were some interesting moments, but Jim thought the best part was finding a parking place on the street so we didn’t have to pay.
