JOURNALING: Weather was perfect, not too hot, not too chilly. The town square at Easton Shopping Center was barricaded off for the event. Proceeds benefited adolescent and young adult cancer research at The James at The Ohio State University. There were 17 tents set up around the square from different area restaurants with samples of their Mac & Cheese . The first item I tried was the truffle mac & cheese from Mitchell’s Ocean Club. LOVED IT. The second place, Noodles & Co., had good Rice Krispie treats. The Mac & Cheese, however, was tasteless. Two Mac & Cheese bite selections were both OK, with Brio’s wonderful cheese sauce super; the spiced pepper jack sauce at World of Beer was VERY spicy! I didn’t like any of the other choices, until I got to #14 - Zoup! I took one bite of their Mac & Cheese soup and let out a spontaneous “Oh my gosh!” A lady next to me smiled.
