Journaling: First I needed an education. I’d heard a lot about the medicinal qualities of marijuana for pain in patients with chronic illnesses, including MS. But what I have isn’t really chronic pain. My hands and forearms have a constant feeling of numbness. Yes, that numbness becomes painful and pretty debilitating by evening, but I didn’t want to feel high on the outside chance I’d feel a little less pain.

THC is the psychoactive part of cannabis and causes the high feeling.  Cannabidiol, commonly known as CBD, is a chemical compound that has the benefits of cannabis without the high. At  the CBD Daily site, cannabidiol could be bought in serum, lotion, even lip balm. I chose to try the cheapest product, the small roll-on serum.

The mail carrier knocked. Heather, my aide, brought in the box. It was my give it a try cannabidiol serum. I immediately rolled some on the insides of my hands. In only 10 or 15 minutes my right hand felt smaller. My hands usually feel large and full of tiny buzzing insects, but in so little time, my right hand felt smaller. Then I realized I could feel with the inside of my right hand. Heather laughed as I felt the skin on my face and every texture i could find. I haven’t been able to feel anything with my right hand for over 3 Years!

Even if I don’t advance anymore on the feeling and dexterity in my hands, it’s worth every penny!
