IN SEARCH OF: THE TUNA MELT
(under left picture) Johnson’s Real Ice Cream now has 3 central Ohio locations, (with a Chicago location opening soon), but this original location in Bexley is the only one with a “lunch” menu.
(under right picture) Perfect turn melt (classic white bread, American cheese) served with CHIPS!!!
(at bottom) Do you know how difficult it is to find a half-way decent tuna melt? I mean many area restaurants don't even carry tuna fish sandwiches. And most of those that do don't have "melts" on the menu. The tiny number that do often give you cheese and tuna salad spread on two pieces of toast. Neither filling is even warm, let alone "melty." But, I've been lucky to have found a place I can count on for a GOOD tuna melt. And to make it even better, its in the old neighborhood ice cream parlor! A perfectly panini-grilled sammie, even served with CHIPS!!! And a sundae for the finale. Can’t beat that.
