The hardest part of  doing this layout for me was picking out a couple of photographs of my father in 2004/2005 that were “attractive." Oh, even in high school I had friends who said my dad was good-looking, but, he's my DAD. I have never in my life searched for photos where Pop looks good enough to stop and stare. LOL The only times I stopped and stared at my father was when he was doing something goofy. Smile

Journaling: Taste of Northville was a huge showcase for my budding business, Digitalegacies. I spent some serious time putting together samples, designing my table at the business showcase and preparing the sample disc which would show on a continuous loop on the large TV that we had behind the booth. I was so happy that I ended up with a table right next to the eating area where people would take all of their samples from the food businesses to enjoy. While they were eating my demo would be on a large screen that was easy to see to coax people over when they finished. I really thought that that was my big extra advantage going into the night.

Four former coworkers and dear supportive friends volunteered to help me with the showcase. We met with and introduced the product to a lot of potential customers and Rich passed out a ton of balloons to potential customers’ kids! Tracy, brought my attention to the fact that the section of the demo from my dad's 60th birthday presentation, when he was younger and up through high school, attracted groups of women about his age watching the big TV. At one point during that section of "The Best Of Digitalegacies" one of the women gathered around the TV asked Tracy, ”Who IS that man?” When Tracy told her "It's the owner's father," without missing a beat the woman asked "Is he single?"

The object of the business showcase was to get people interested in my products, not to pimp out my dad! But he got a chuckle about how he was helping me when he wasn’t even there.
