My grandma, Eunice Thompson, did this crewel-work when my uncle was little. He had a cat, Frosty, who was quite a character! The cat loved to sit on Grandma & Grandpa's bed in the sunshine filtering through the window. Grandma had worked so hard on this, and it was finally ready to be hung up. She was going to take a break, then do that, so she set it on the bed. When she walked into the room next, Frosty was taking a nap ON THE FLOWERS! She screamed and got him off the crewel-work, but there was some fur and some pulled threads on the white buds on the top and the flowers between them and the next white ones sticking out. She decided to hang it up anyway, so it was in their bedroom over the dresser for many, many years.
