My great-grandma, Aileen Thompson Frith, was a man's tailor by trade. She made suits for a living, and also made them for her son (my grandpa), her stepson, and her grandkids (my dad & uncle). She saved the pieces that were left over and made lap quilts for the boys and for herself. My uncle & dad decided to give me this one. They still have theirs. I remember her using this one. The blue felt was from one of Dad's suits and the grey was from one of Uncle David's. The tweed that's the border was from one of Grandpa's.
