Journaling Reads: January 5th, mum had a routine procedure that turned into a major surgery. The doctor let us know that it was very dangerous for her and the recovery time would be prolonged. We expected intensive care for a week, hospital for a week or two and skilled nursing for a week to two weeks. Mum was determined to stay in hospital as little as possible and worked hard to get home. The hospital released her four days later. She is such a champ.
