Journaling: One of the things that MS did take from me is Christmas when I'm at home. The day after Thanksgiving used to be my decorating day with my full-size tree and all kinds of decorations in my office/living room, bedroom and even towels and guest soaps in the bathroom. The entire month of December was a celebration wrapping gifts, entertaining friends and family and baking like crazy!
When I moved in with the man who eventually became my husband I did serious cleaning and decorating for the holidays just as I always had. Sadly, when the crippling effects of MS started to take over and I could no longer do cleaning, decorating and baking, the Christmas spirit inside went away. As is true with a number of men, my husband is not so big on the holidays and our tree and my favorite ornaments have been sitting in boxes for years. But, photographs and memories still make me smile at home when I turn on my Christmas music playlist.
