JOURNALING: Many times when meeting people, they might ask me my hobbies and interests. If I were being completely honest, I should tell them that I spend much of my free time organizing things. Is that a hobby? Perhaps. But it’s also definitely part of my profession. As an event planner, especially for youth, I must be completely organized. From what shirt colors we wear each day, to where all of our meals will be, to what activities we will experience… everything is planned to the tiniest detail. But things never go as planned, so then I plan another layer of contingency plans in case any part of our schedule changes (usually outside of our control). My love of organization is great for my career, but not nearly as appreciated by my family. Ha.
