JOURNALING: Kiribati is a group of 32 atolls and 1 raised coral island divided into three groups – Gilbert Islands, Phoenix Islands, and the Line Islands. It is the only country in the world to be situated in all four hemispheres. The capital, where over half of the population live, is on Tarawa Atoll. Kiribati is expected to be the first country to lose all its land territory to rising sea levels caused by global warming.
