Columbia River Gorge, August 1991:  Instead of our regular camping trip, Dad surprised me with a day-trip through the Columbia River Gorge!  I usually went there with my mom's side of the family, but Mom & Dad used to hike it a lot before I was born and when I was little.  Our favorite hike is the trail between Multnomah Falls and Wahkeenah Falls.  We started at Multnomah and ended at Wahkeenah, then hiked back to the car.  The first picture is taken at the moss overhang with the ferns where I used to pretend I was a wood sprite.  The second picture is taken at Wahkeenah Falls.  After we hiked, we drove to Crown Point to watch the sun set from the walkway around the Vista House.  Dad hadn't been there since I was little.
