2020 has been a very long year for me. In December, 2019, I had a sudden retina tear and found myself unable to see out of my “strong” eye. I got an immediate appointment with another doctor and got the 1st available appointment for the specialist in another town. The 1st week in February, I had retina repair surgery which improved my vision, but I knew I needed glasses soon. By the time my 8 weeks recovery was up, Covid-19 had forced my doctor’s office to close. TV was blurry, computer screens gave me a headache but I could read on my kindle if I made the print large enough, and I carried on the best I could. When the office opened again, there was a very long wait for an appointment - which was then pushed back another month. The end of August, I got my new prescriptions and eagerly awaited receiving my new glasses, which finally came the middle of September! Yay! I can see again! And - drumroll here - I can see to drive again!
