One of my most favorite Halloween tricks I ever played on someone wasn't even planned! My mom and I always loved going to haunted houses put on by community members. One year in the early 1990s, I got a bottle of glow-in-the-dark nail polish and a tube of glow-in-the-dark lipstick to wear as part of my Halloween costume, but I thought it would be fun to wear to a haunted house as well. It definitely was! Mom and I both wore them, and freaked out the people waiting to scare US! There was a room with no lights and with fuzzy black pieces of yarn dangling down randomly, so Mom and I each had one hand against a wall and one hand out in front or to the side to push the yearn strands away. Well, little did we know, there were people in all black stationed against the walls ready to jump out at us. Mom found the first one first! He was about my age, a middle-schooler or early high-schooler, and saw our lips and nails materialize and come close to him. Mom's hand touched his shoulder and he jumped a mile and screamed! He turned a flashlight on and we apologized, but all of us were laughing! His first comment? "That was spooky!"
I used clip art to illustrate what we looked like coming toward him. I agree with him! I bet he still tells that story, too. The picture is our Halloween decorations in front of our house in 2018.

The lips and fingernails were created in Daz Studio using a shader from “Creative Emissive Lighting for Iray” by Khory.
