As I head to my second Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere after many years in faraway lands, I confess to missing the advent of snow. Me, who used to complain about slippery roads and blocked driveways!! The truth is that I quite adored that feeling just before the first snow fall of the season..as if something quite magical was going to happen. I would always head out for a walk for the first snow, enjoying the lazy swirl of snowflakes, the silence and the slow transformation of the landscape. I miss that.
