Reflecting on this year:

January was Jarek's 11th birthday, and he had a "Legend of Zelda" pizza party at Megabyte.  February was our last time eating at a restaurant for the rest of the year, because after that COVID-19 came to the world's attention.  March was when we adopted Rainbow, and just after that was when the pandemic was declared.  April was preparations for Scott's shoulder surgery and the mask mandate, finally.  May was Scott's surgery and Jarek's cat Scamper had to be put to sleep.  June was the first time I've ever taught summer classes, but my students didn't want to end one of their few activities!  July was my birthday, and I got a new computer, keyboard, webcam, and electronic drawing tablet from Scott.  August was a transition from using Skype for my classes to using Zoom.  September was Rainbow's first birthday and Scott's birthday.  October was boring, but the best part was when Erin, Jarek, and Cailese came over for Halloween.  November was the start of my most recent dental issues, stemming from a broken tooth that had to be extracted.  December was taken up by creating a 3D nativity and two sets of Advent candles.  My wish and prayer for the new year is that it will be better than this one.  I think most of the world feels the same way.
