What better way to make a quick layout than to use a quick click! If you've never tried a quick click, get on it!! The hard part of the design is already taken care of - you just have to add papers, elements and photos, journal a little bit and you're done! Here, I used Wild Side Quick Click (by Heidi Keuster) (rotated and duplicated), also available as part of the brand new Quick Clicks 2 CD. Check it out today!

Is hockey a part of your life? Do you have a young player in the family? You need to grab Hockey Life by Lora Speiser to help preserve these special moments. For me, that meant a trip to the World Junior Hockey Championships in Calgary, Alberta in December and January.

We were thrilled when we found out that we would be getting Calgary event passes to the World Junior Hockey Tournament. It meant we would get to watch a lot of hockey over two weeks and would get to see Canada hopefully win gold on home ice. The first week was the round robin portion of the tournament with Russia, Latvia, Denmark, Czech Republic and Switzerland. I fell in love with the Latvia jersey and had to get one. Within minutes of donning it, other fans were asking me if I knew what it meant. I didn’t, but googled it to find out. The second week was the playoffs including all of the relegation rounds. In the end, the underdog Latvians beat the Danish and will get to return next year. The Canadians first game in Calgary was against the Russians and during the warmup a very, very large Canadian flag was passed around the Saddledome. It was a full section long! The excitement of the game was palpable until Russian’s managed to earn a large lead. But in the third period, the Canadians began their comeback, scoring 4 goals in under 5 minutes Unfortunately, it was too little too late and the Canadians lost the game 6-5 and had to play for bronze while their Russian rivals played Sweden for the gold. It was a blow to our hockey pride, but Canada played their best and won their medal while the Russians lost to the Swedes. In the end the best memory was just being there.
