My fibre items are a knitted square, a number of stitched areas, 6 knitted flowers and a skein of yarn.

Journaling: The things you see when you're least expecting it! I was in the village of Kilkee, in County Clare, where I walked in the footsteps of my ancestors. I stumbled on this signpost at the foot of O'Curry Street. (Proof!) Someone took the time to knit a cover for this post, and they also wrapped the other post with yarn scraps. I was so taken by the pole sleeves I almost missed the message on the sign. I don't think it can get much clearer than that!

the way that someone took the time to bring out the colors of the buildings behind the sign is just so impressive. love the saying and it just goes to show that you should stop and take a closer look at things to really appreciate them. awsome journaling and showcasing of something unexpected and wonderful

What a wonderful photo and story. Some of the posts in our town get wrapped with knitted "scarves" to promote various causes, nothng quite as detailed as what I see in yourphoto though. It certainly captures attention. I love your use of the themed elements, a very entertaining LO Jan, good luck in the contest.

Love that story. That is an amazing bit of art on that pole! What I find really interesting is that it matches the colors of the houses in the background - I wonder if that was on purpose. Beautiful composition and layering of elements.
