Journal: When the Westminister Church was hosting an open house for the "Doors Open Winnipeg" event, Mom & I visited the church that is designated as a heritage building. The 1912 pipe organ, valued today at $1.5 million is a priceless piece of the church's history and is a centerpiece of the church. The Rose window above the front entrance is stunning and was a highlight for me. I learned that an interesting feature of the rose window is the piece of clear glass is positioned so that on the summer and winter solstice, sunlight will pass through it at 11:00am and illuminate a bible on the communion table. What a wonderful afternoon we had visiting this beautiful heritage spot right in our own city.

What a beautiful rose window! I lived in Winnipeg for 15 years and don't think I ever noticed it. Not even when I got pulled over right in front of Westminster for running a red light... My loss! I like that you kept the layout simple so the photos could take centre stage.
