One of my favorite ways to cool off during the summer is to make milkshakes & smoothies.  I have a personal-sized pulse blender/food processor, because usually I just make them for myself.  The summer that Erin was pregnant with JJ, we had smoothies every day.


Fresh fruit:  1 banana


Frozen fruit:  strawberries, blueberries


Ice cream:  mint chocolate chip


Additions:  quinoa powder (protein), yoghurt, almond milk
