So awesome how you included the maps w their meanings. I like the wooden deer and moose and the falling red maple leaves. 🍁 I'll have to start being attentive to this, we never hear about it in Hawaii.
Yes, the red asterisk represents the approximate location of our house. The body of water is a lake, although a skinny one. It's 50 miles long and about 2-3 miles wide, depending where you're looking at it. Our air has been smoky pretty much since the beginning of July. We've only had a handful of days where particulate matter is less than 50 ppm. We're staying inside as much as we can, which is a shame...

So sorry about the fires in your part of the world, Jan. Beautiful page about it. Here in Sweden we don't have fires but we've had heavy rains a couple of days. Some cities are totally flooded.
