Journaling to my daughter reads:
You are priceless and beautiful and exactly what our family has always needed. And I remember the day you made your entrance– remember the size of your hands, the smallness of those toes. And I look at you, today, and I realize you’ve grown up and are growing up in so, so many ways. And I know I can’t slow time, can’t make you stay a child forever, but, baby, I would by lying to say there are parts of me that don’t long to.

Maybe it’s because I can hardly imagine enjoying you any more than I do right now.
And there are so many lessons, so many truths, you’ve taught me thus far in the journey. There are so many ways that I am better as a person because of you. You’ve taught me about laughter and independence and charm
