On one of our trips out west, my cousin gave me this beautiful fossilized vine and berry that he had dug up on his farm, and we stopped at several rock shops, where I picked up a few things for my collection. I just left them under the seats in the car, but when it was time to leave for the airport, all those rocks went into my suitcase. My sil, Jerry, was kind enough to wrestle with the suitcases and every time he picked mine up, he would ask me what was in it - rocks? And I would always say “yeah”. When we finally got home, there was something in my suitcase that my daughter needed, so I opened it up and there were all my rocky treasures. I will never forget the look on Jerry’s face. He thought I had been kidding about the suitcase full of rocks!
