Myself and maths, that is NOT a good pairing, I was never any good at sums when I was at school. My sisters and I always won all the spelling, reading and English prizes but somehow the arithmetic gene passed us by (I’m fond of “pie” though...lol). I have developed a bit of a complex about it over the years and when confronted by a tricky math problem, my brain goes to mush, especially if someone is watching me figuring out the answer. I have always handled the household budget but have no idea how I landed that job given that my husband was way better at maths than I was. Thankfully there are calculators....lol. I have recently become a little addicted to this simple daily online number puzzle, Nerdle, and, while it does my head in at times figuring out the correct combination of numbers , it entertains me and surely can’t do any harm to this old, numbers challenged brain of mine. Although dark o’clock in the wee small hours is probably not the best time to be trying to solve it.
