Growing up, I've always loved the idea of travelling, exploring, meeting new people & learning about their cultures & countries... Then life happened. I met my hubby, fell in love & we've spent the 18+ years since making wonderful memories as a family. Now that the kids are grown and pretty much doing their own thing, a new space has opened up for us to explore & have fun as a couple again...
I have been blessed to see some of the world when I went on Hajj and Umrah. Besides Makkah, Madina and their surrounds, we were also able to visit Palestine and Egypt and we spent a night in Doha so got to see some of it's beauty as we drove to and from the airport. I've also seen and experienced some of the world through my husband, sister, nephew. and nieces' travels for work and pleasure.
A few days ago I mused to my hubby about what my travel dream would be if there were no real life constraints, and here's the jist of what I said:
Since I don't know enough of the world to really know where I would like to visit, I'd want to go on a no time limit "hop on, hop off" style world cruise...
I love the beach, so I'm looking forward to lots of sunny beach days, long beach walks, and reading as I soak up the sun and enjoy the sound of the waves. I look forward to exploring the touristy and not so tourity treasures at each stop. Learning to snorkel and having adventures as we hike to waterfalls, ruins, historical & cultural landmarks or beautiful sights. All the while making new friends & making & capturing memories with my hubby.
