When I was old enough to get a job, I worked concessions at the Raulf Theater in Oshkosh WI. However, that was not my dream job. I wanted to be a stewardess after I graduated high school. My dream was dashed when at 17, I looked into the requirements. UGH! With their very specific rules, I was never going to meet the height requirement. So, time for plan B. Maybe becoming a beautician would be good but I thought about the cost and although I know my folks would have found a way, I felt they weren't in a good position to help me through school. My real life passion though, was to be a homemaker.  I succeeded living my best life as a homemaker for 35 years. Life happens to all of us, and I did eventually re-enter the work force. I worked as a receptionist for 6 years at Bishops Glen Retirement Center in Ormond Beach FL. Then I moved to North Carolina and worked in the fabric and crafts department at Walmart for 15 years. I am now happily retired enjoying time with my family when possible.
