I love history and this story is so interesting.  I love the variety of pictures you included and how they ring the page. 

Great blocking of these historic photos! Pretty cluster accents and love the elegant titlework! The button ellies add a special touch!

you should totally apply to be a historian.  with your creativity, journaling, and historical knowledge, you would be fab and everyone would want to go there..  love your page with the darker colors.  Awesome template usage and loved how you journaled on the inside middle.

I came across this one in the BB thread Becky, congrats on the nom. Your page is a showcase of information and expert scrapbooking.  Love love your take on the challenge template...so genius to use the small rectangles for columned journalling and the rotation works perfectly here
