My sweet rescue puppy, Luna, took to my older sister right away. She was her constant companion on walks and in the garden. Her favorite place to sleep was on Beverly's bed. When my sister became ill and ended up in rehab, we brought Luna to visit. She was very sweet with all the residents and staff, but when it came time to leave she jumped on Beverly's bed and refused to budge. Beverly passed away a week later. Dogs know.
