As far back as I can remember, the ocean has pulled at me. When I was three, my mom would chase after me to grab me before the waves could sweep me away. The thunder of the waves crashing on the shore both calms and excites me. Water surrounding me is relaxing and brings peace. I’ve never lived more than an hour from an ocean so when I need to just be taken away from worries and cares, that’s where I go. Spring and Summer warms and soothes my soul. Autumn at the shore signals change. But the ocean in Winter is something I crave the most. The icy chill from the ocean breeze clears my mind and rejuvenates my spirit.
