Journaling reads: I have always had very low self esteem. I believe it is because; I have always been an outsider, someone that others picked on and laughed at for being different. (I am deaf and have a learning disability). Of course it also did not help that I had mother taught I was never good enough for her. I use to be very shy and not out going. I had few friends and never truly stood up for myself. It hasn’t been to recently that I have learned to accept myself for who I am and realize it is the differences that make me unique, make me special and make me totally awesome! I have learned to say screw you to the haters and surround myself with people who love me for who I am! It doesn’t matter what others think of me, as long as I love me.
