Granddaughter Laura and I have a “donut thing” together. When she comes to visit, she always brings donuts. I give her donut patterned socks, pyjamas, oodies, cards as birthday/Christmas gifts. It’s just a fun thing that has developed between us over the years. She is very arty/crafty and this Christmas as a gift to me, she made donuts out of air dried clay, painted them so beautifully, cleverly used sand to achieve the cinnamon sugar effect, glued magnets to the back to create fridge magnets. They now live proudly on my fridge door. Laura is so special.
