I’m guessing this was taken in the fall of 1949. I would have been almost 4 and Jay would have been 2 1/2. We all enjoyed this beautiful area and Dad was stationed at Camp Carson, which was nearby. The black and white photos don’t do justice to the beautiful red rocks, but are still magnificent. Dad helped Jay and I up into the rocks since neither of us could climb that well - yet. In the right hand photo below, you can see Jay and I tucked into a cave-like formation among the tumbled rocks. On the other side, we are all standing on one of the rocks. I love this photo of Mom!
