The story was told to me by a lovely lady who is now at the age of 86. It's a true story!

"When I was a young girl I spent a summer with my aunt. Twice a week my aunt gave me an egg with my sandwich. I wasn't used to eating eggs, but I sure did like them.

After that summer, long before Worldwar II, I regularly asked my mom if I could have an egg. Whenever I asked her she looked kind of sad.

Only once she answered my question. She said: "1 egg will cost 1 cent. I do not have 1 cent to spent on a egg, but I promise you that when the day will come that 1 egg will cost half a cent, I will get you one. This never happened and it took me years to realize how my mother must have felt.

Today 1 egg will cost something between 20 and 30 cents and I can buy as many eggs if I please. Does make you think right?"
