My dearest Kai, as I watch you play on the playground today, your third birthday, I can not help but smile. You have grown up this past year before my very eyes. You have turned into such a wonderful and amazing little man! And while this past year has been a hard one on us all with you being diagnosed with Autism and starting all your therapies, I can proudly say I am for once looking forward to the future.
Tomorrow will be your first day of school and I could not be prouder! It is going to be a big step in your independence and I can not wait to see you grow and learn. The world may not see it, but you have such great ability to become whatever your heart wants;
